Historic Jesus
Temple

Advised by historical and archaeological experts, the crews in the workshops built carts of the period and, because it no longer exists, re-constructed the Herodian Temple's Courtyard of the Gentiles from which Jesus drove the money-lenders.

According to producer John Heyman, "This is a 'first-century docudrama'. It is realistic and it is grubby. Unlike other film versions of the story, our temple has sheep dung and garbage in the courtyard, because that's the way it was. It was not the picture postcard world that the Renaissance painters have made it."
